   At the first step of a stage worker, how many starters will think he(or she) will do the job as 'minor (or assistant)' role for all the rest of his life? If he would be an instrument player, almost all would long for the eminent solist.
   However, there can be spotlight to the minor roles. Without the minor roles who can help and support the majors, the stage shall not be not a great success. As we can't expect a nice concerto without nice orchestra and conductor, all the experienced audiences know they can't hear very good recital without a keen and sensitive accompanist who are capable of sharing his breath with major performer of the recital. But this role of the accompanist was not recognized till an artist appeared, who was very modest, humorous, and really great. Everyone agrees he was a Casals for all the accompanist.
The man, who said "Am I too loud?" at his last public performance, was Gerald Martin Moore.

   He was born at Watford, England. After learning at the local music conservatory, he was tutored by Michael Hambourg at Canada because his family moved there on 1913.
